KIPP Oak Cliff Academy – Paul Quinn

Linbeck and KIPP Texas Public Schools continued their long-standing partnership to bring a first-of-its-kind campus to Dallas with the KIPP Oak Cliff Academy located on the Paul Quinn College campus. Completed in two phases, the project saw the major overhaul of an existing 1966 college sciences building, which had been neglected for years. As part of the renovation, Linbeck completely gutted all existing MEPF systems, demolished existing ceilings, and removed most of the existing CMU interior walls. Linbeck also replaced all utilities, including the fire sprinkler water supply, electrical service, and interior plumbing. Demolition of the existing stepped concrete auditorium was also required to add a cafeteria, as well as converting deteriorating asphalt parking lot into a concrete one. Through our self-performance capabilities, Linbeck was able to save KIPP Texas money, which was able to roll over into Phase II of the project and include a new metal gymnasium to facilitate indoor activities and administrative offices.
