Description
The new Prosper Hospital is the first hospital for the Town of Prosper and the first green-field hospital for Cook Children’s outside of its original main campus in Fort Worth. The six-story, short stay inpatient pediatric hospital is outfitted with the latest technologies and includes an emergency department suite with exam and resuscitation rooms, a surgery suite with prep/recovery rooms, PACU bays to support multiple ORs and special procedure rooms, a lab and pharmacy, a spacious servery, and other patient-focused amenities. The top floor supports inpatient care with 14 universal med/surg beds and 10 PICU beds. The new Prosper Hospital bridges the connection to the previously built Medical Office Building, thereby completing Cook Children’s master campus plan. An imaging suite and data center connect the two buildings on the first floor; the second-floor connector houses an infusion suite and staff backstage spaces.
