Description
Space Center Houston is a state-of-the-art education and entertainment complex located at NASA/Johnson Space Center. Completed in 1992, the interactive museum and experience center is one of Space City’s most popular and must-see attractions, known for its interactive galleries, large-format film theater, behind-the-scenes tram tour at Johnson Space Center, and host of traveling exhibits. In addition to constructing the large-scale facility, Linbeck was responsible for adding a 23-acre parking lot, enhancing the site with an abundance of trees and shrubs, and relocating several fully grown oak trees. The team also self-performed several portions of the project, including the building, earthwork, formwork, rebar and concrete placement, millwork, and carpentry.
