Description
The new Center for Transforming Lives (CTL) Campus is being repurposed from a former Montgomery Ward building on a 14-acre site. The first floor of the 1950s-era building is being renovated to contain classrooms for a new Child Development Center, Economic Mobility Center for CTL clients, resale space, and space for a future trade school. The second floor will have office, meeting, and counseling space. The interior is designed to feature an open floor plan with access to natural light throughout the first and second floors. The exterior was designed to be an extension of the indoor classrooms and therapy spaces by using natural landscaping and carefully planned play and gathering areas. This building will serve as a beacon of pride, progress, and hope for the community. CTL has provided anti-poverty programs for women and children in Tarrant County since 1907, originally founded as the YWCA.
