Description
The James Outpatient Care and Proton Therapy Center at Wexner Medical Center is the single largest facility project in The Ohio State University’s history. The Proton Therapy Center houses the country’s first multi-room configuration of Varian’s ProBeam 360 equipment. The center includes two full gantries and one fixed beam room, which is the world’s first fixed beam that is capable of upright patient treatment through Leo Cancer Care. The Ambulatory Facility consists of 13 different specialty ambulatory clinics, a retail and clinical pharmacy, faculty and administrative offices, infusion therapy, urgent care, clinical laboratory services, ambulatory surgery, endoscopy, medical imaging, and outpatient rehabilitation. A 640-car parking garage also accompanied the project.
