Description
The Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word partnered with the CHRISTUS Foundation for HealthCare to transform an historic 1939 building into a community center with a clinic, classrooms, and event spaces. Situated on 10 acres, the existing two-story structure demanded a complete interior demolition and an exterior overhaul for parts of the facade that were damaged beyond repair. Linbeck provided a new and cohesive exterior facade to complement the original brick, built two new entry canopies, and installed new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and automatic fire sprinkler systems. In addition to renovating this building, Linbeck also demolished a nearby metal building and replaced it with a two-story, 17,000 SF metal building, which was then connected and became an add-on to the renovated community center facility.
