Description
Constructed in the 1940s, Ed Landreth Hall was built to accommodate the music and theater/opera programs at Texas Christian University (TCU) and served as home to the famed Van Cliburn International Piano Competition from 1962-2001. In 2023, Linbeck was selected to oversee the renovation of the music building and perform extensive upgrades to its interior spaces. The refreshed building will boast a new 300-seat theater (re-purposed from the original 1,200-seat theater) that includes a fly tower, costume shop, scene shop, black box theater, classroom/multi-purpose spaces, rehearsal spaces, and studio/practice rooms. Once complete, Ed Landreth Hall will reflect the same quality and standard of excellence as other buildings on TCU’s campus.
