Description
Carr Chapel has remained a landmark on the Texas Christian University campus since its dedication in 1954. Evoking a style traditional to American Colonial churches, the chapel features a brick exterior, stone columns, and Palladian windows. To bring the existing structure up to modern standards, Linbeck completed a total renovation for the chapel, from simple pew and religious furniture refurbishments to significant mechanical, lighting, and audiovisual enhancements. However, the most important aspect of the project was preserving the building’s integrity while ensuring it would have all the technological features of a modern structure.
